Flysheet fabric - Ripstop Polyurethane coated Polyester offers great UV resistance and low take up of moisture, resisting sagging of fabric. Inner fabric - Ripstop nylon has been coated to be lightly water resistant helping prevent drips penetrating the inner tent, Groundsheet - Taffeta nylon is very durable, resisting wear very well. However for long term use, a footprint is recommended.

Overall weight of 2.95kg is good for a backpacking tent. When you consider this tent is designed for all year round use, it's amazing!

Description

A truly versatile winter and expedition tent. Though not offering a freestanding pitch, the use of a three pole tunnel design drops the total weight of the Westwind down to an amazing 2.95kg. Light enough for summer backpacking , the Westwind will keep you protected from the elements no matter the time of year. The use of a Silicon Elastomer coating on the flysheet offers highly increased UV resistance and also helps to reduce the absorption of water into the fabric thus reducing pack weight on long term trips. 16 Guyline points and adjustable ground tensioners offer as secure a pitch as possible.
